At ExportAction we will open electronic bank accounts with US banks for our clients, but we will not hold passwords or check (cheque) books, nor make withdrawals, payments or transfers.
We make deposits at local US bank branches (the closest HSBC branch is a five-hour drive away) almost every working day. It takes up to an hour to prepare the paying-in slips, drive to the bank, deposit the funds and return to the office - so we divide the cost of this among the clients for whom we are banking that day. This method seems fair and equitable to most clients.
Having a US bank account can give improve access to your deposited funds to as little as three days, from as much as four weeks or more.
Having an account with a US bank is not the same as having a US$ account with a UK bank.
